My punishment for whining about something so vain (see my muffin post) was to wake up this morning with a sore and tingling lip. I have never, ever, ever had lip troubles....that is until now. I have a cold sore on my top lip (dead center) and it looks horrible! I know more about cold sores now then I did 12 hours ago...I know that this unsightly sore may hang around for 14 days - that is forever to have something this big on my mouth. I've got a presentation (170 6th graders) on Wednesday....I'm petrified. I didn't want to go out to eat lunch with Rick today...I've become completely self conscious about this thing on my lip! I don't know how people do it...all I can think about is how big my lip is and how crusty it is already starting to look. After lunch I ran to Walgreen's and bought a $19 2g (.07 oz) tube of abreva - the pharmacist said that this would work the fastest....I'm praying that it will. I don't want spend the next few days wondering if people are staring at my big, fat, crusty lip!?! It could be worse (according to the Mayo Clinic website)...lol!
Sweetness - Since I've posted a few "yucky" photos in the last few posts....I'll leave you with the sweetness that I captured while we were driving to my mother's this evening....it is too sweet!
Until next time....I'm off to medicate my lip (for the 4th time today....the directions call for application 5 times a day).
