Easter, Love, Rangers and allergies....

This year Easter was a bit unconventional for our family....usually we do church and the family gathering and this year well....we did things a bit differently.  Sunrise service and a Rangers baseball game.....the kids hung out with grandma and their cousins to decorate and eat eggs while Rick and I enjoyed being together and watching our beloved Texas Rangers beat the KC Royals.

Rick and I had such a great time together....he is getting ready to rotate to the yucky night schedule....yucky for me but more action for him - criminals come out at night (I guess).  It's the life of being a police officer's wife.  I digress....back to baseball.  It was nice just to hang out together (eating hot dogs and such...I did have a bud light lime - half of one...lol).  I loved every minute of it...even when my allergies decided to kick in with a vengeance.  I sneezed often during the game and found it funny more than annoying, that is until we started the drive home.  For 45 miles I sneezed nonstop....snot flying, eyes watering, and throat burning...I thought that I was going to die!  I was wheezing badly when we were finally able to get out of the HOV lane and pull into a store so I could grab allergy medicine and kleenex....it was horrible!  By the time we made it home my eyes were swollen and I was wheezing like I had just attempted to run 5 miles without my inhaler.  I took a shower, doctored my yucky lip and then went to bed.

Even though I woke  up stuffed and with a pounding sinus headache I wouldn't trade the afternoon spent with the friend, lover and husband....I had a great time and am so blessed to have had a little time alone with him.  I had so much fun that I didn't spend much time thinking about the puffy lip!

It was a great day!
