Muffin!?! No......



 I have the day off today.  The kiddos still had to go to school - which means that I was still up this morning (at 5:25).  After dropping them off I came home, ate a bowl of cereal, grabbed my nook and hopped back into bed.  I finished one of the books that I've been working on and then promptly went back to sleep.  Up at 10:00 to get ready to meet the hubs for lunch.  As I'm pulling on my pants I notice that they are a little snug so I walk over to my mirror to check it out.  Oh my goodness.....my tummy muffin is hanging over the waist of the jeans!  I almost had a heart attack...I have been working out seriously for the last 3 months - serious weight training and I am still frustrated that my tummy muffin is out!  I've decided that I need bigger pants....ok seriously, I have decided that I am going to get serious about what I put into my mouth (I managed to only eat two bites of chocolate cake at lunch instead of the whole piece) and up my cardio and ab workout.  Working out with the hubs (who happens to be a police officer and a soldier) has lead me to bigger arms (I  love them) and a mental toughness that I didn't have when it came to weight training....but it is time to bump up the cardio.


My goal is to drop 15 lbs....that's it....15.  I've never been one to worry about my weight, but as I've gotten older I have noticed that if I'm not active - it gets out of control.  So that's it...I am determined!  I want to see my abs...not this lovely layer of chub fluffy muffin!  So good bye french fries!  Good bye cake ( I will miss you) and good bye bacon cheese burgers! 

Maybe I should just get bigger jeans?
I will be thinking about this tummy issue when I'm in the gym today.  It is bicep/tricep/cardio/abs day.
